Rayala Venkateswara Rao founded RVR in Visakhapatnam in 1976 with ten people. He is a Civil Engineer by profession and, in the company’s own words, a protagonist by nature — the person who set both the construction standard and the ethics the brand still cites.
CRISIL’s May 2025 rating rationale records R.V.R. Projects Private Limited as incorporated in 1999 by Mr Rayala Venkateswara Rao. MCA filings list him on this board from 7 May 1999. He served as Managing Director until 1 April 2017 and continues as Director; the company presents him as Chairman.
The published leadership note credits him with milestones in roads, bridges, buildings and other infrastructure, and with supporting social activity alongside the business. The 12.8 km Krishnapatnam coal conveyor (2014) — RVR’s BOT entry — sits in the era he built.
